READY now uses a red color ramp when Zero enters a stage. X keeps the original blue lettering. The change targets X1's existing READY sprite actor, retaining its original animation, flashing, position and highlights without changing the shared palette.
Validation: focused ROM-backed death/respawn checks for both characters; rendered captures inspected; X's READY region matches the original pixels. Source addresses and reproduction instructions are documented in
docs/zero-port.md.This Zero-only follow-up is independent of the X2/X3 weapons branch and does not change the published 0.0.1 package.
